The County College of Morris (CCM) Library’s Foundation Center Funding Information Network is offering three free workshops on the Foundation Center products during the college’s Spring Break, March 12-15.  The CCM Library is a participant in the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network. Network partners provide a suite of resources including the most comprehensive database of U.S. and, increasingly global, grant makers and their grants.
On Tuesday, March 13, the workshop, “Introduction to Finding Grants,” is geared for nonprofit organizations interested in exploring grant funding that are new to grant seeking. The workshop will have a brief overview of the Foundation Center’s free Grantspace page, and participants will learn about the 10 most important points in finding grants.
The second free workshop, “Searching the Online Foundation Center Databases for Grants,” will be held on Wednesday, March 14. Participants will learn how to conduct basic and advanced searches in the updated foundation directory online database and the foundation maps database. This workshop is for nonprofits already familiar with the basics of grant seeking, and will highlight the changes in the foundation’s online directory recently launched.
The final free workshop, “Finding Grants for Individuals,” focuses on finding scholarships and grants that fund students, artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians, researchers and other individual grant seekers. This workshop will be held on Thursday, March 15.
Pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Please register before March 5, by calling 973-328-5300. All workshops will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Sherman H. Masten Learning Resource Center, Room 205, on the CCM Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road.
