Assisting the Public with Their Marketability

The Testing Center at County College of Morris (CCM) is now a certified provider of testing for those interested in gaining certification to demonstrate their expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite and increase their marketability.
Testing is offered in Word 2016, Word 2016 Expert, Excel 2016, Excel 2016 Expert, PowerPoint 2016, Access 2016 and Outlook 2016. These programs are ones that most companies expect employees to know and certification provides a notable level of proficiency.
The fee is $150 for each test, which includes one practice exam, the certification exam and one retake. For those who register to take the tests with a voucher from Certiport, a national provider of certification exam delivery, the Testing Center charges a $25 fee in addition to what Certiport charges.
“We wanted to offer the public these additional services as part of the college’s mission to serve as a resource for the community and workforce development,” noted Dr. Kevin Chen, Testing Center supervisor. “By gaining these certifications, people can increase their marketability in the job market.”
Along with Microsoft testing, the center offers QuickBooks Certification Testing and the College Level Examinations Program (CLEP).
The Testing Center at CCM is known for demonstrating excellence in testing services. CCM is proud to be one of only three testing centers in New Jersey to hold Test Center Certification by the National College Testing Association for serving as a nationwide leader in testing practices.

The center is responsible for all basic skills placement testing on campus and for proctoring exams for online testing for online and hybrid courses. In addition, the center provides proctoring services for other schools and organizations as needed.

CCM encourages the community to visit its website at www.ccm.edu and to take advantage of the many opportunities for advancement that the college provides.
