Associate of Fine Arts in Design
The Architecture track focuses on a diverse and interdisciplinary studio environment whereby students gain insight to multiple areas of design and their influences within industry, society and profession. Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising are areas that make up the studio culture in the Design Program at CCM.
CCM students gain a comprehensive foundation acquiring contemporary and traditional skillsets to pursue immediate opportunities in industry as CAD designers, 3D rendering designers and modelmakers. The program is designed to also enable CCM graduates to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and continue their architecture studies toward one of a variety of bachelor’s degrees.
County College of Morris has designated studio classrooms with state of the art equipment and software available to all design students during their academic studies at CCM. The class size average is 13:1 in the studio; this ratio fosters a mentoring relationship between the student and professor. Studios are supplied with materials and resources allowing extensive opportunities for creative exploration in research and process.
Faculty are dedicated and highly accomplished. Many maintain professional practice, bringing real world problems to the design curriculum and classroom.
The program is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Upon completion of an Associate in Fine Arts degree (AFA), the majority of CCM Architecture track students transfer to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.S.Arch) or a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). CCM graduates have transferred to the following institutions based on their CCM grade point average and portfolio:
