Graphic Design, Associate in Applied Science Degree
The Graphic Design Program prepares students for entry-level positions as graphic designers, production artists, junior art directors, web production artists, web site designers and other entry-level interactive media positions.
Majors can also graduate and transfer to a four-year college, university or art school with a portfolio that makes a difference.
Students get a personal portfolio review at least twice before graduation. Graphic design courses include constantly advancing technology. Students learn creative problem solving, critical thinking, presentation skills, computer skills and get a real-world experience. Students take foundation courses in art and graphic design and select electives in advertising, magazine production, web-page design, animation, video, television graphics, digital photography, illustration, interior design and more.
