Disability Services- Mission Statement
The mission of the Disability Services department of the County College or Morris is to help provide students with identified physical, medical, emotional or learning disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in the college’s courses, programs and activities. To achieve that mission, Disability Services embraces the following principles:
To seek a collaborative and cooperative relationship with the faculty to enhance the education of students with disabilities.
To provide educational programming about physical, emotional and learning disabilities to students, faculty and the college community.
To work to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act as it applies to higher education settings.
To maintain a center for students with disabilities that provides services, disseminates information and promotes self advocacy for all.
To maintain a collaborative and supportive relationship with professionals within the community in order to further and support the mission of the program and its services.
