Payment of Fees / Promise to Repay
I understand that when I register for any class at County College of Morris (CCM), or receive any service from County College of Morris, I accept full responsibility to pay all tuition, fees and other associated costs assessed as a result of my registration and/or services. I further understand and agree that my registration and acceptance of these terms constitutes an agreement for services in which County College of Morris is providing me educational services. I also understand that bills are not sent, tuition costs are immediately updated on my Titans Direct account to view and to make payment. I ultimately promise to pay tuition and fees in full by the published or assigned due date as posted on the college webpages. A hard copy of bills will not be mailed unless requested or deemed necessary by the College. I accept these terms regardless of how registration was completed, whether it was online, in person, or a request sent electronically
Dropping / Withdrawal from Classes
I understand and agree that if I drop or withdraw from some, or all of the classes for which I register, I will be responsible for paying all or a portion of tuition and fees in accordance with the published tuition refund schedule and due dates noted under Payment Due Date and Important Financial Dates at https://www.ccm.edu/bursar/important-financial-dates/ and the conditions of the published Refund Policy https://www.ccm.edu/bursar/refund-policy/. I further understand that my failure to attend class does not absolve me of my financial responsibility as described above. I authorize, accept, and acknowledge that all bills will be adjusted instantly upon my successful registration changes and can be found under Payment Information on the College’s student Titans Direct https://titansdirect.ccm.edu/Student/Account/Login. I accept these terms regardless of how registration was adjusted, whether it was online, in person, or a request sent electronically.
Delinquent Account / Collections
Financial Hold
I understand and agree that if I fail to pay my student account bill or any monies due and owing County College of Morris by the scheduled due date, County College of Morris will place a financial hold on my student account, preventing me from registering for future classes, requesting transcripts, or receiving my diploma.
Late Fee and possible deletion of classes: I understand and agree that if I fail to pay my student account bill or any monies due and owing County College of Morris by the scheduled due date, County College of Morris may assess a late fee and possibly remove my unpaid classes via deletion and assess a service fee per course.
Reinstatement Fee
I understand and agree that if I fail to pay my student account bill or any monies due and owing County College of Morris by the scheduled due date, County College of Morris may assess a reinstatement fee, in addition to other fees as disclosed under Payment Information Penalty Fees https://www.ccm.edu/bursar/payment-information/ if I wish to re-enroll in any deleted courses.
Communication
Method of Communication
I understand and agree that County College of Morris uses CCM’s designated email as an official method of communication with me, and that I am therefore responsible for reading the e-mails I receive from County College of Morris on a timely basis. I understand that the College may also send me a physical bill or contact me in any of the methods listed below.
Contact
I authorize County College of Morris to contact me at any phone, through texting or phone calls, e-mail, or by mail to any physical address I have on file with the College.
I understand and agree that I am responsible for keeping County College of Morris records up to date with my current physical addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. Any changes can be updated using the Change of Name and/or Address form at https://www.ccm.edu/wp-content/uploads/pdf/admissions/recordsandreg/Change-of-Info-Form-Interactive-1.pdf.
The above linked procedure is incorporated herein by reference. Upon leaving CCM for any reason, it is my responsibility to provide County College of Morris with updated contact information for purposes of necessary continued communication and regarding any amounts that remain due and owing CCM.
Financial Aid / Scholarships
I understand that aid described as “estimated” on my Financial Aid Award does not represent actual or guaranteed funding, but is an estimate of the aid I should receive if I meet all requirements stipulated by that aid program, including financial verification requirements.
I understand that my Financial Aid Award is contingent upon my continued enrollment and attendance in each class upon which my financial aid eligibility was calculated as prescribed by law. If I drop any class before completion, I understand that my financial aid eligibility may be decreased or revoked. If some, or all, my financial aid is revoked because I dropped or failed to attend class, I agree to repay all revoked aid that was disbursed to my account and resulted in a credit balance that was refunded to me. I agree to allow financial aid I receive to pay any and all charges assessed to my account at County College of Morris such as tuition, fees, service fees, ineligible refunds (previous credit balances) or bookstore charges within the financial aid award period.
Awards, Scholarships, Grants
I understand that all awards, scholarships and grants provided to me for attendance at County College of Morris will be credited to my student account and applied toward any outstanding balance. I further understand that my receipt of a federal award, grant or loan is considered a financial resource according to federal Title IV financial aid regulations, and may therefore reduce my eligibility for other federal and/or state financial aid which, if already disbursed to my student account, must be reversed and returned to the aid source.
Billing Errors
I understand that administrative, clerical or technical billing errors do not absolve me of my financial obligation to pay the correct amount of tuition, fees and other associated financial charges assessed as a result of my registration for classes at County College of Morris.
Withdrawal
If I decide to completely withdraw I must follow the instructions found under Withdrawing from Courses found under https://www.ccm.edu/admissions/records-and-registration/withdrawal-individual-course/ which I understand and agree are incorporated herein by reference. Students who do not officially withdraw from classes but who stop attending will be considered unofficially withdrawn for purposes of applicable state and federal financial aid and may in fact have their financial aid reduced or revoked.
Privacy Rights and Responsibilities
I understand that County College of Morris is bound by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which prohibits County College of Morris from releasing any information from my education record without my written permission other than basic “directory” information. I understand and agree that if I am younger than the applicable age of majority when I execute this agreement that the educational services provided by County College of Morris are a necessity, and I am contractually obligated pursuant to the “doctrine of necessaries.” I further understand that my privacy rights and responsibilities are those applicable for higher educational institutions, even if I am still high school aged.
Entire Agreement
This agreement supersedes all prior understandings, representations, negotiations and correspondence between the student and County College of Morris, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the matters described, and shall not be modified or affected by any course of dealing or course of performance. This agreement may be modified by County College of Morris at any time and any modification is specifically limited to those policies and/or terms addressed in the modification.
