



WHAT
CCM’s GenCyber Camp is a week-long exploration of Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is a dynamic field with something for everyone. It’s ideal for students who enjoy problem solving and want to make a real impact in the world. Camp participants will be engaged in cyber instruction, hands-on activities, interactions with cyber professionals and team building. Morris County students enrolled in the camp will learn safe online behavior, develop a knowledge of cyberspace, and explore careers in cybersecurity.

This camp is funded by the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation and is provided at no cost to selected applicants. Lunch and snacks are provided at no cost. Transportation is provided at no cost from Morristown High School and Dover High School. All students will take home a Raspberry Pi kit at the completion of the camp.

WHO
Rising freshmen and sophomores from Dover, Morristown, and Parsippany High Schools are eligible to apply. Applications may be opened to other Morris County students if the camp is not filled.
Interest and enthusiasm are most important! Basic computing knowledge is helpful; however experience with Computer Science or Cybersecurity is not needed.

HOW TO APPLY
PART I – STUDENT APPLICATION
The application includes a self-interest form and a list of math and computing courses taken with grades. Students are not expected to have experience or knowledge of cybersecurity or computer science.

The recommendation must be completed by a teacher or guidance counselor.

The agreement must be reviewed and signed by the student and parent/guardian and submitted with the application.
