Eric Pedersen – CCM Success Story

Best thing about being a CCM student: My ENR-240 Tech Projects class with Parthy. We worked with Picatinny Arsenal to 3D model select ordnance. Soldiers would then use the 3D model assembly drawings in the field to safely disarm live ordnance.

Important instructor or staff member: I very much enjoyed my classes with Professor Parthy Iyengar and Professor Nial McCabe. I’ve always enjoyed CAD and machining and they helped instill that passion and skillset.

Experience that stands out: I took a class where another student in the class was an engineer with a master’s at Picatinny. They said that CCM offered great courses and they were taking the course to increase their applied skills. This says it all about the education here.

Anything else to share: After working as a Scientific Glassblower for ten years, I have had the opportunity to work at CCM for the past 6 years and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had here. I am able to work with NASA, Haas, Enable, Sandvik, and many other great organizations. I have my signature aboard the International Space Station and hands that I 3D printed on children in South America and Asia.

All of this was made possible by the education and employment of County College of Morris, it’s excellent faculty and staff. CCM is truly good people.
