The mission of the Accessibility Services department of the County College or Morris is to help provide students with identified physical, medical, psychological, sensory, learning or any other qualified disabilities, an equal opportunity to participate in the college’s courses, programs and activities. To achieve that mission, Accessibility Services embraces the following principles:

To seek a collaborative and cooperative relationship with the faculty to enhance the education of disabled students.

To provide educational programming regarding physical, medical, psychological, sensory, learning or other disabilities to students, faculty and the college community.

To work to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act as it applies to higher education settings.

To maintain a center for disabled students that provides services, disseminates information and promotes self-advocacy for all.

To maintain a collaborative and supportive relationship with professionals, within the community, in order to further and support the mission of the program and its services.
