On Thursday, Feb. 13 at 12:30 p.m., please join the Legacy Project in SH-100 for what promises to be an engaging lecture by artist and architect Mohamad Hafez. His sculptural pieces speak to the ongoing struggles of the city of his birth — Damascus, Syria. This event continues our academic year focused on “War, Peace, & Healing”.
We are very excited that Mr. Hafez will be gifting signed and numbered painting prints to the CCM and Legacy Project collection. We also thank our co-sponsor, the Art & Design Department.
Here’s a profile of Mr. Hafez in The New Yorker:Â https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/an-artists-obsession-with-the-ruins-of-his-homeland
