Professor Sara Dolan has been a nurse for the last 9 years. She spent the first three years working as an emergency department nurse. The last six years she has worked as an intensive care staff nurse, and more recently charge nurse/ rapid response nurse. She continues to work as an intensive care nurse/ charge nurse/ and rapid response nurse per diem.Professor Dolan found her love of teaching while educating newer nurses and medical residents in code blue simulations. It was here she realized the power of education in the nursing profession. Professor Dolan completed her MSN practicum requirement at CCM and found the college to be an excellent fit. When a full time position opened, she did not hesitate to apply. She is thrilled to be teaching at CCM, and loves working with future nurses!

Professor Dolan obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (education focused) from College of Saint Elizabeth, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pace University. Professor Dolan also holds a Bachelor of Art in Chemistry from Lycoming College. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and several other professional nursing organizations. She hopes to return to school for her PhD in the future. “If you would have told me 15 years ago I would be a nursing professor, I would not have believed you. My love for nursing education has been one of the biggest and best surprises of my career!”
