Professor Hagopian has been a registered nurse for 15 years. After graduating from Seton Hall University in 2006 with her BSN, she worked at Overlook Medical Center through July 2021, starting on a large medical surgical floor working both night and day shifts on and off for ten years. In 2013, Professor Hagopian took on the role of clinical coordinator for the night shift of that unit, and it was during this time that she decided to pursue a master’s degree in nurse education. Three years later, she stepped down from her position as a clinical coordinator.

Professor Hagopian notes that she enjoyed being in a leadership role and working with all the nurses on the unit. She then moved to a small medical surgical unit, where she spent five years working as a floor nurse, and later briefly worked as a substitute school nurse for Morris County.

In 2020, Professor Hagopian graduated from Drexel University with a master’s degree in nurse education. Over the years, she has oriented many new nurses and is excited to teach the nursing students here at CCM!
