Professor Elizabeth (Betsy) Elliott has enjoyed working in the nursing profession for over 30 years. She has spent most of her professional career in various hospitals in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and has extensive experience caring for patients in Intensive Care Units, Coronary Care Units, and Telemetry Units. She has also worked in the outpatient setting, including Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Most recently she has begun working as a substitute school nurse in a local high school.
Professor Elliott joined County College of Morris after teaching Medical-Surgical and Psychiatric Nursing courses at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in Venice, Florida as an Assistant Professor. While teaching as an adjunct at CCM in the Nursing Department, Professor Elliott found the CCM environment to welcoming to all while providing students with an outstanding education. “CCM has allowed me to facilitate students’ acquisition of knowledge that is essential to become a nurse, while fostering the professional behaviors of my future peers.”
Professor Elliott obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Central Florida in Orlando Florida and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her professional license was granted after earning her diploma from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She is a member of Sigma theta Tau.
