Dr. Melissa Kasmin joined the County College of Morris faculty in 2017. She is the Faculty Special Projects coordinator for the Early Childhood Education Program and the Human Services Program. Prior to joining CCM, Dr. Kasmin taught at several universities and worked in a variety of schools as a social worker, administrator, and consultant. With numerous certifications in educational administration including Social Work Supervisor and School Principal, Dr. Kasmin specializes in early childhood education, special education, and educational leadership.

Dr. Kasmin completed her Ph.D. in Social Work in 2009 at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her dissertation, examining resiliency in disadvantaged kindergarteners, earned the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Dissertation. Dr. Kasmin has published on educational reform and continues to present workshops to schools on implementing best practices.
