A Tale of Love, Hope and Heritage Told in Song and Dance
County College of Morris (CCM) invites all theater-goers to campus for this fall’s musical “In The Heights,” set in the lively Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan—where sweet coffee flows from corner bodegas, windows are always open and the air resonates with the rhythm of three generations of music. Presented by the Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies, four energizing performances will be held, from Wednesday, November 6, to Saturday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. each evening, in Dragonetti Auditorium in the Student Community Center.
“Featuring music and lyrics by the award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights tells the story of a vibrant New York City community,” said Director Marielaine Mammon, chairperson of the Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies at CCM. “Rhythmic melodies and Latin dances help tell the tale of love, hope and heritage.”
