Free Event Features 35+ Agencies at the Municipal, County, State and Federal Level
Attention job seekers! CCM is once again teaming up with more than 35 local, state and federal agencies to host its annual Criminal Justice and Related Services Career Fair for those pursuing a pathway in criminal justice or social and community services — such as public law enforcement, corrections, private security and legal studies. This free event for students, graduates and the public will be held on Tuesday, November 19, from 9 a.m. to Noon in the Davidson Rooms in the Student Community Center on CCM’s campus.
Designed to connect attendees with leading employers, this year’s event is not to be missed. “Whether you’re a recent grad, making a career switch, or aiming for a promotion, we invite everyone to join us!” said Dr. Maureen Kazaba, professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at CCM.
“The fair provides a great setting for students to meet law enforcement and first responder personnel face to face,” said CCM student Sage Weiss. “Even if students are not majoring in criminal justice, it is still a great opportunity to see different career options, ask questions and explore jobs they may have not previously known about.”
Attendees are welcome to bring copies of their resume as they introduce themselves to the various organizations planning to participate, including Atlantic Health Systems, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Creative Solutions Investigative Service, CSG Law – Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC, Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeless Solutions, Inc., Hope One, Morris County Communications Center, Morris County Office of Temporary Assistance, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Bureau of Corrections, Canine Unit, Community Outreach and Planning, Morris County Reentry, and Patrol Unit, Navigating Hope, NJ Army National Guard, NJ State Parole Board, NJ State Police, NJ Transit Police Department, NYPD Recruitment Section, Rutgers at CCM, Rutgers University Police Department, State of New Jersey Judiciary, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Secret Service. According to CCM graduate, Alex Neuhaus, ‘24, who is now studying at Seton Hall University, “The career fair allowed me to meet so many different law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations and community leaders. No matter what your degree, it is a great place to explore new career opportunities and possible interests. I highly recommend you stop by and check it out!”
