Industry 4.0 and Smart Automation Technologies are revolutionizing the workplace through digitization of the manufacturing sector. Utilizing smart technologies, Industry 4.0 aims to improve productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility, enhancing the workplace into a self-managing system. This is performed using machine learning on cobots, electrical systems and more to automate tasks and processes to boost productivity.
CCM’s SACA Level 1 Certification will prepare you for your career with smart automation technologies. Learn basic operations competencies such as:
- Concepts & Terminology of Smart Manufacturing
- Basic Setup, Adjustment & Operation of Automated Machines
- Basic Robot Operation & Terminology
- Safety and Hand Tools
- Precision Measurement
- Blueprint & Schematic Reading
- Basic Electrical Control, Pneumatic, & Sensor Systems Operation
- Production Monitoring via HMI, Internet, Ethernet, & Smart Phones

Anthony Horbert, Coordinator and Instructor, Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center
Anthony has spent 10+ years in advanced manufacturing, while holding many positions from prototyping and research and development, to CAD drafter and engineering technician. He uses both his knowledge of manufacturing and his industry experience to create a unique and engaging environment for his students.
Sergio Jiménez, Lab Assistant
Sergio began as a student in this program, and immediately took an interest in manufacturing. He rapidly advanced to be a leader in the classroom as the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center’s Lab Assistant. Sergio is a testament to the career building programs the school has to offer.
