Academic Advisors are available to help you select the courses that best support your educational and career goals as well as provide direction to the many resources and support services available at the college. Each semester, full-time students pursuing a degree at CCM must see their Academic Advisor(s) to obtain advisement clearance in order to register for classes. Degree-Seeking Students (Matriculated)
Full-time faculty members within your major will serve as your academic advisors. Academic advisors can help you select the courses that best support your educational and career goals as well as provide direction to the many resources and support services available at CCM. An email will be sent to your CCM student email within the first few weeks of the semester where to find the name/s of your academic advisor/s. As the College migrates completely over to the TITANS DIRECT system, you can also find the name/s of your advisor/s on your STUDENT PLANNING link (of TITANS DIRECT).
Each semester, students should first plan their courses using STUDENT PLANNING and then connect with their Academic Advisor/s to obtain advisement clearance in order to register for classes. During the academic year, faculty members/academic advisors hold regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students.
Once you have met the collegeās admission requirements and submitted all the necessary documentation, you will receive notification to your āhomeā email (the email on your admissions application) on how to make an appointment for NSAR (NEW STUDENT ADVISEMENT AND REGISTRATION). Please note that priority registration is for current students and therefore NSAR appointments will be held in December/January for spring enrollment, and in May/June for fall enrollment.
Non-Degree-Seeking Students (Non-Matriculated)
If you are in need of academic advisement, you are assigned to work with a member of the Counseling staff in the Office of Counseling Services and Student Success. You may stop in to make an appointment or call the office.
Once your application has been submitted and processed, you will receive notification to your āhomeā email (the email on your admissions application) that you can register for classes of which you have successfully met the prerequisite/s. Please note that priority registration is for current students and therefore new non matriculated students may begin registering for classes in late November for spring enrollment, and in late May for fall enrollment.
