Who can participate in the 2026 Commencement ceremony?
- Candidates for May 2026
- Candidates for August 2026 – who are registered for Summer 2026 and contact registrar@ccm.edu
- Graduates who completed their requirements in August 2025, December 2025 or January 2026
Cap and Gowns
A link to order your cap and gown is coming soon.
Graduates eligible for an Academic Distinction stole and/or NJ Star cord will receive cords and stoles at the Ceremony Check-in.
Other stoles and cords will be given out prior to Commencement Day, reach out to your club or honor society for instructions.
Missed the cap/gown ordering deadline?
Guest Tickets
If you have your cap/gown delivered to your home, the tickets will be included in your package.
Extra Guest Tickets
A maximum of 2 extra guest tickets will be offered per graduate, based on availability.
If additional guest tickets are needed, you can again visit Records & Registration on May 19 – additional tickets will be given out based on availability.
Accommodated Seating for Guests
Accommodated arrangements must be made before May 19, 2026 – this deadline ensures appropriate seating and access.

Graduation Fair
- The Graduation Fair will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the Student Community Center (SCC) patio, weather permitting. If needed, it will be held inside the SCC.
- All graduates attending the Commencement Ceremony are invited to attend! Pick up your cap and gown and guest tickets, plus enjoy music, games, prizes, a cap decorating station and more.

Commencement Ceremony
- Graduates can begin to arrive and check-in at 8:30 a.m.
- Guests can arrive at 8:30 a.m.
- Graduates will pick up their Reader Card (card with your name on it as it will be read as you approach the stage) and, if applicable, an Academic Distinction stole or NJ Star cord.
- Graduates will be seated with their academic division in the arena bleachers prior to processing.
- Arena doors close at 9:45 a.m. to allow the ceremony to begin on time.
- Guests arriving after 9:45 a.m. will be seated after the procession.
- American Sign Language Interpreters will be present at the ceremony.
- As you walk across the stage, CCM President Dr. Anthony J. Iacono, the administration, academic deans & faculty will honor you individually to recognize the hard work & dedication that brought you to this exciting moment.
Professional Photography at the Ceremony
Two professional photos will be taken of you at the ceremony
- Shaking hands with CCM President Dr. Anthony J. Iacono on stage.
- Exiting the stage, holding your diploma cover.
In June, you will receive a notice from the photographer that includes proofs and an order form
- CCM will provide you with a voucher for a free 5×7 photograph of your choice

Diplomas
- May 2026 graduates attending the ceremony can pick up their diplomas in Mennen Arena immediately after the ceremony.
- August 2025 graduates, December 2025 graduates and January 2026 graduates attending the ceremony can pick up their diplomas in Mennen Arena immediately after the ceremony – If you already picked up your diploma at CCM’s Records & Registration Office you do not have to get in line after the ceremony and can immediately exit.
- Not attending the ceremony? You may pick up your diploma on or after Friday, May 22 at CCM’s Records & Registration Office in the Student Community Center, Room 220 – bring your student ID with you. Keep in mind, CCM is closed on Monday, May 25.
- August 2026 graduates will be sent notification as to when diplomas can be picked up (typically in September).
Frequently Asked Questions:
How will I know if I am eligible to graduate?
CCM’s Records & Registration Office will do a final audit on your record after grades are posted to ensure all degree requirements have been met. You will be notified via your CCM email the week of May 18, 2026.
Is the ceremony livestreamed?
Yes, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the college’s YouTube channel. You can view it here.
Is seating assigned?
Graduates are seated according to their academic division (Liberal Arts; Business, Mathematics, Engineering & Technology; Health & Natural Sciences).
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony is approximately 2 hours.
Can I decorate my cap?
Yes! We love to see that!
When will I get my diploma?
Diplomas are handed out immediately after the ceremony at Mennen Arena until 1:00 p.m. or can be picked up on or after Friday, May 22 at CCM’s Records & Registration Office in the Student Community Center, Room 220. Check the Records & Registration web page for office hours. Note the college is closed on Monday, May 25.
What should I wear?
This is a celebration of your achievement, so business casual or more formal is recommended. We want you to be comfortable, but please consider avoiding sweatpants and t-shirts.
What shoes should I wear?
Comfortable ones! You’ll walk and stand more than you think and you will be walking up stairs onto the stage. Heels are not recommended for safety.
Do guests need tickets?
Yes, anyone who intends to watch the ceremony at Mennen Arena will need a ticket to enter the building.
