Application Process
Complete the application for student financial aid assistance. The County College of Morris Federal school code is 007106, which should be entered when filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Attention: When prompted, we strongly recommend that you grant consent + approval using the Future Act- Direct Data Exchange (FA-DDX). This tool will allow for an automatic transfer of filed Federal IRS income tax return information to your FAFSA form to determine federal aid eligibility (replaces what used to be the IRS data retrieval tool DRT). Additionally, the word “Contributor” (open as a separate window to view video) is a new term being introduced on the 2024–25 form and is anyone who is required to provide filing information, signature, consent and approval.
STEP 1 – The student and one parent (dependent student), also known as a “Contributor’s” must – Create their own Federal Student Aid – FSA ID (account username and password). To Apply visit https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch .
STEP 2 – Applicable contributors – Using their own FSA ID, log in and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

- 00772900 – OPE ID (Federal Stafford Loan Program and Nat’l. Student Clearinghouse)
STEP 3 – EMAIL INVITATION NOTICE TO CONTRIBUTORS!
Required for FAFSA completion, signature, consent & approval:
- FAFSA started by the Student: A dependent student MUST grant consent to a parent by way of entering the parent’s name, date of birth, Social Security number, and email address when prompted for parental information data entry prior to submission. Or
- FAFSA started by the Parent: A parent may begin the FAFSA on the student’s behalf using their own FSA ID. However, the parent MUST grant consent to the student by way of entering the student’s name, date of birth, Social Security number, and email address when prompted for FAFSA data entry and signing prior to submission.
- IMPORTANT: Being a contributor does NOT indicate financial responsibility. However, if a contributor refuses to provide their information, the student will not be eligible for federal student aid.
STEP 4 – YOUR FAFSA RESULTS!
The U.S. Department of Education (Federal Student Aid) will send you your Student Aid Report (SAR) , renamed “FAFSA Submission Summary” for 2024-2025 – the result of processing your FAFSA. Review your submission summary and if necessary, make changes or corrections online at www.studentaid.gov. STEP 5 – YOUR NJ STATE AID RESULTS!
The State will send an email to the address listed on the FAFSA or Alternative Aid Application containing your NJ State/HESAA ID. You will be instructed to create a NJFAMS User ID and password to log into your NJFAMS Student Portal. You can find your “To Do List” and “Award and Eligibility” information as well as other functions to assist you with your state aid process.
STEP 6 – VERIFY YOUR ANSWERS!
If you are selected randomly for federal verification, your school’s financial aid office will ask you to submit, uploading tax returns and other documents, as appropriate. Be sure to meet the school’s March 1. preferred deadline, ensuring funding prior to the start of the academic year.
STEP 7 – DOCUMENT UPLOAD!
CCM Financial Aid Office will notify you if additional document’s are required to complete the award eligibility process by way of your CCM student mail – Uploaded all forms and documents to Titans Direct .
STEP 8 – VIEW YOUR AWARD !
CCM Financial Aid Office will notify of your eligibility by way of your CCM Student Email. This email will direct you to TITANS DIRECT, Student Portal to view your annual Award Packet (Award e-notification).
STEP 9 – TITANS DIRECT ACCESS !
CCM Incoming students or if accessing your CCM student self-service portal Titans Direct – Your access password is your CCM student identification number. Example – ccm9999999 (no space and requires change once accessed). Your user name is your CCM student email (last name.first name@student.ccm.edu). Both your identification number and email are on your Admissions acceptance letter to the college.
