NASA’s Artemis program, named after the Greek moon Goddess, is the next step in our mission to explore the Solar System and land the astronauts back on the surface of the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years. Using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before, NASA plans to use what they learn on the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars. This 30-minute voyage to the Moon is followed by a short tour of the night sky and planets.
This 45-minute show is recommended for adults and children ages 9 and up. Foward to the Moon was produced by the University of Colorado’s Fiske Planetarium in collaboration with TEND Studio and is narrated by Kari Byron from “Crash Test World” and “MythBusters.”
