Shenandoah Ellis-Ulmer, MSgt (Ret.) is the Coordinator of Veteran and Military Services at the County College of Morris (CCM), where she serves as a dedicated advocate for veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and eligible dependents. In this role, she oversees the preparation, processing, and certification of VA educational benefits, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Shenandoah also manages auditing requirements and serves as the primary point of contact for military-affiliated students, supporting their academic and personal success.
Before joining CCM, Master Sergeant Ellis-Ulmer served as the Superintendent of the Program Development and Research Division at the Personnel Recovery Academy, part of the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency. Her distinguished 21-year career in the United States Air Force included eight intelligence assignments and extensive support of coalition combat operations across the Middle East, including deployments to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Shenandoah holds an associate degree in Communications Applications Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from Friends University and has pursued graduate studies in Human Resources Development at Villanova University. Her military honors include the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Air Force Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters.
