NJ Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship
The New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS) Program that was established in 2004 by the State of New Jersey to provide New Jersey’s highest achieving students with Free Tuition and approved fees; less any State and/or Federal grants and scholarships, for up to five semesters enrollment at their home county college. Below are the Fact Sheets for specific groups of students. Please select the Fact Sheet that corresponds to your status.
NJ STARS scholarship recipients who PLAN TO TRANSFER to a four-year NJ public college or university may also qualify for a tuition-free education through NJ STARS II.

You must first apply for all need-based federal by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA].

ATTENTION: Potential NJ STARS recipients are required to submit documented proof from their high school on letter-head, their junior or senior year rating (class size) and ranking, confirming top 15 percentile, in addition to meeting all other federal and state aid eligibility requirements prior to awarding.
