Michael Hodgetts, Data Analytics and Visualization program instructor, will present and address any questions regarding the new course: Data Analytics Applications/Modeling.
This course will provide an overview of the principles, tools, and applications of data analytics and modeling, equipping students with the foundational skills to transform raw data into actionable business insights. Students will:
- Explore the entire data analysis lifecycle, from defining a problem to presenting results, using industry-standard techniques and software.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python or R, alongside tools like SQL and Excel, to manage, clean, and manipulate data from diverse sources.
- Develop and validate basic data models, such as linear and logistic regression, classification, and clustering.
- Communicate findings effectively through data visualization techniques (Tableau, Power BI and others).
