Upon receiving her BSN from William Paterson University in 2003, Professor Roche began her nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ where she spent several years as a staff nurse. She transitioned to the role of Nurse Educator in the hospital with a focus on neonatal education while pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing Education from New York University, which she received in 2009. After graduation, she moved to Binghamton, NY where she spent some time as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Nursing at Elmira College and a per diem staff nurse on a Maternity Unit. Born and raised in NJ, she moved back to the area in 2011 and has worked as a per diem NICU nurse and a Neonatal Nurse Educator covering multiple hospitals in Northern NJ prior to joining the faculty at CCM full-time in 2020. Professor Roche’s career has been focused on the Maternal- Child area of nursing and she has a certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and is a Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Instructor. Professor Roche has a passion for teaching and believes that lifelong learning is an essential part of nursing. She resides in Morris County with her husband and two sons.
