A Celebration of Artistic Photography for the Community
County College of Morris (CCM) is excited to host the New Jersey Photography Forum for a special exhibition entitled, ‘Give It Your Best Shot.’ The exhibition will be on display in the CCM Art Gallery from Thursday, January 18 through Thursday, February 22.
The New Jersey Photography Forum has been a creative force in local art production for several years, ranging from the New York metro area to northern New Jersey. As the title of the exhibition implies, New Jersey Photography Forum members have been asked to display their best shots from the past few years. The exhibition features influences and styles that are extremely varied, including fused glass prints with portraiture and lighting, exciting and thought-provoking photographs from Paris to New Mexico and digital photography picturing landscapes and microcosms.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, January 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the CCM Art Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
“We are thrilled to showcase artistic photography from the New Jersey Photography Forum and hope others will join us to celebrate these impressive works of art,” said Dr. Brian Sahotsky, CCM Gallery Director and Assistant Professor, Art and Humanities Department. “We enjoy partnering with local organizations to provide the community with access to unique exhibitions.”
The New Jersey Photography Forum is dedicated to furthering the interests of professional and serious photographers living or working in the New Jersey area. Over the past 27 years, it has become the largest and most recognized group of fine art exhibiting photographers in the state. The group holds monthly meetings where attendees are encouraged to share their expertise and advance their skills.
The CCM Art Gallery is located in the Sherman H. Masten Learning Resource Center on the college’s campus, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph. Gallery hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is available in Lot 6.
