Professor Mike Adamo has a combined 25+ years of experience in the financial services industry and the field of education. He spent his first 12 years working in corporate finance in various roles from insurance agent, to account executive, to assistant chief operating officer, and eventually the owner of a boutique stock transfer agency. As he migrated out of corporate America, one of his first opportunities was to assist professors with integrating 21st century skills into their lesson plans, primarily through online educational platforms at Essex County College in Newark, NJ. In addition to assisting professors, he helped teach, design and create courses for business and a new supply chain management program. This led to him becoming the executive director of the schools’ program LINCS / logistics program, which was part of a national consortium of colleges and universities throughout the US.

In September 2016, Mike decided to dedicate himself solely to the classroom, where he was a personal finance and business teacher at the high school level, while still adjunct instructing at various NJ colleges. Two years later, Mike had the opportunity to return to the collegiate level as a full-time professor within County College Morris’s business division. Most recently, Professor Adamo was promoted to assistant chairperson of the department overseeing a variety operations, in conjunction with his teaching responsibilities. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from Kean University, a Master of Arts in Adult Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Science in Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

In his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth and high school sports, spending time with family and friends, traveling, home construction design, watching collegiate and professional sporting events.
