Six CCM students participated in the SySTEMic Challenge and were prepared to present their mobile application on Transfer Day but snow cancelled their trip to Rutgers-Newark. Fortunately the Waste Less team members had an opportunity to present their Waste Less Free Mobile Application on Thursday, March 21st on the CCM Campus to an audience including Thomas van Aken, Project Director of NNJ-B2B and Cris San Miguel, Alliance-Wide Program Program Coordinator for Garden State-LSAMP. The presentation was presented “Shark Tank” style with a 5 minutes slide presentation and discussion. Appreciation is shared with the B2B students for getting involved and to Thomas van Aken and Cris San Miguel for traveling to CCM to hear the presentation. Also pictured with the students is Professor Teresa Birrer, CCM B2B Site Coordinator. The students had to come up with a way to ameliorate any aspect of the issue of food waste.
