Reception for Portfolio Exhibit to be Held on November 13 – Posted 11/5/14
The Morris Museum this fall once again will be hosting the Portfolio Exhibit of design and fine art pieces created by students at County College of Morris (CCM).
The exhibition consists of works produced by students taking portfolio classes through CCM’s Department of Visual Arts and is currently on display at the museum, located at 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown, until Monday, November 17. A reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, November 13, from 5 – 7 p.m.
“It’s wonderful to be able to exhibit the work of our portfolio class students at the Morris Museum during another semester,” says Professor Todd Doney, of the Visual Arts department. “The work of students majoring both in fine arts and design is impressive and will make for a spectacular display.”
Portfolio courses at CCM help students to critique, improve and select their best work; create effective presentations; write documents for marketing their creative work to galleries, museums and prospective clients; and develop portfolios to gain entrance to four-year colleges and universities. This is the fourth time CCM students have exhibited their work at the Morris Museum.
