CCM Professor and Artist Todd L. W. Doney to Exhibit Work in Morristown

Paintings Capture the Wonders and Beauty of Morris County and Italy – Posted 1/3/17

A highly respected landscape painter known for his ability to captivate with color and light, Todd L. W. Doney, professor of visual arts at County College of Morris (CCM), will be presenting an exhibit “From New Jersey to Italy” at the Atrium Gallery in Morristown.

The exhibit runs from January 16 through March 15. A reception will be held Thursday, January 26, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The Atrium Gallery, which is managed by Morris Arts, is located in the Morris County Administration and Records Building, 12 Court Street, Morristown. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The exhibition includes recent oil paintings by Doney including those featuring one of his favorite subjects, New Jersey’s Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, along with several works inspired by a trip he and his wife took to Italy as part of a CCM travel abroad program in 2015.

A community college graduate, Doney is widely known for his vivid Neo-Impressionistic paintings. His work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions, including solo exhibits at the Morris Museum in Morristown, Broadfoot & Broadfoot in New York and Boonton, the Gallery MacEgan in Morristown, the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey City University in Jersey City, Griffin Gallery in Madison and the Brickton Art Gallery in Park Ridge, IL. In 2014, his work also was displayed at Drumthwacket, the governor’s mansion, and at the Mansion in May at Blairsden estate in Peapack-Gladstone. His works are included in public and private collections worldwide.

Doney earned his Associate in Arts from the American Academy of Arts, his Bachelor of Arts from Thomas Edison State College and his Master of Fine Arts from New Jersey City University. For more information on his work, visit www.todddoney.com.
