The Writing Center is located on the first floor of DeMare Hall, DH 156 inside the Tutoring Center. Tutoring is conducted by faculty tutors only. Services include one-on-one tutoring appointments, walk-ins, and workshops.
Tutors identify writing problems, provide instruction in theory, and offer practice for written improvement. Tutors can offer pre-paper and post-paper consultations. The Center is fully equipped with a computer lab and also offers instructional videos and computer software. All Writing Skills students are strongly encouraged to attend tutorial sessions as part of their developmental course requirements. Sessions are in 20 minute increments.
