Atrium Art Gallery in Morristown Features Landscapes of Northwest New Jersey
Gain a new perspective and appreciation of Northwest New Jersey landscapes at a solo exhibit of artwork by nationally recognized artist Todd L.W. Doney, professor of Fine Arts at County College of Morris (CCM), at the Atrium Art Gallery in Morristown.
The “A Sense of Place” exhibition runs from January 20 through March 14. An Artist’s Reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, February 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Atrium Art Gallery is located within the Morris County Courthouse, 10 Court Street, Fifth Floor Lobby, Morristown. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A community college graduate who then went on to earn his MFA, Doney is widely known for his vivid Neo-Impressionistic paintings of natural settings, many featuring sections of the Great Swamp, near his home. His work, which also includes portraits, historical settings and famous landmarks, has been displayed in numerous exhibitions, including solo exhibits at the Morris Museum in Morristown, Broadfoot & Broadfoot in New York and Boonton, the Gallery MacEgan in Morristown, Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown and New Jersey City University in Jersey City. Doney also has exhibited his work at Paderewski Fine Art, Beaver Creek, CO; The Sportsman’s Gallery, Ltd., Charleston, SC.; and Gallery Piquel, New Hope, PA.
Doney earned his Associate in Arts from the American Academy of Art, his Bachelor of Arts from Thomas Edison State College and his Master of Fine Arts from New Jersey City University. For more information on his work, visit www.todddoney.com.
