Assisting Young People Living with Health Challenges
Game Development majors at County College of Morris (CCM) will be putting their skills to work in an around-the-clock session during the college’s Fifth Annual Extra Life event to help children living with health challenges.
On Saturday, November 19, the students will play video games for 24 hours straight to raise money for the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside. The event, which is open to the public, takes place starting at noon in the Student Community Center on CCM’s campus, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph. The event also will be streamed online at Twitch.tv/itsETECH.
The group is looking to raise at least $3,000 this year. Anyone can donate, even before or after the event.
Children’s Specialized Hospital is the nation’s leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children from birth to 21 years of age facing special health challenges — from chronic illnesses and complex physical disabilities such as brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues such as autism and mental health.
