College Also Recognized with Four Awards
Vice President of Marketing, Public Relations & Enrollment Management at County College of Morris (CCM) Melissa Albright was presented with a prestigious Rising Star Award at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 1 conference held in Syracuse, NY, October 2 – 4.
The Rising Star Award recognizes newcomers in the community and technical college settings who have demonstrated special creativity or ability in marketing and PR and show evidence of a promising future in the field. Since arriving at CCM in 2020, Albright has developed a successful Marketing & Public Relations (MPR) team, obtained a $100,000 grant from the Lumina Foundation – one of only nine awarded nationwide – to support the college’s marketing, and merged MPR and Enrollment Management into a single, cohesive division.
At the conference, the MPR team was presented with four Medallion Awards for its work:
- Gold Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion materials
- Gold Award for a Digital Enrolment Ad featuring a big dog
- Gold Award for a Landing Page about the college’s GenCyber program
- Bronze Award for the Alumni Advocate magazine fall 2021 edition
NCMPR is the leading organization that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. The Medallion Awards, presented at each of its seven districts during their fall conferences, recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication.
During her acceptance speech, Albright thanked her team and NCMPR members for their support and inspiration.
“One of my core values is inspiration,” she said. “It’s also about cultivating relationships that result in positive outcomes. Whether you are building a team or creating an experience for students, the relationships are what make the difference.”
Albright came to CCM from Sight & Sound Theatres where she served as Marketing & Sales Manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida College of Business.
