Learn How You Can Acquire Enhanced Skills Quickly and Launch Your Career
County College of Morris (CCM) invites students interested in learning about business degrees and certificates to a Coffee, Croissants and Conversation with the Chairperson and Assistant Chairperson of Business. The informal program is to be held on Wednesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cohen Hall, Room 204 on the CCM campus.
“This is an opportunity to learn about studying a single course or a series of courses,” says Dr. Melissa M.H. Ford, chairperson of the Department of Business. “At CCM, you may earn a certificate to be prepared for immediate entry into a profession or to put the credits towards a degree in business. We offer classes during the day, evenings, in-person, hybrid and online to make learning convenient.” Prospective students may also learn more about applying for admission and how to register for classes.
The department’s mission is to provide quality curriculum programs to meet the existing and changing needs of students, employers and local government, all who look to CCM for lifelong learning and professional development opportunities. According to Business Degree Central, the college is ranked #1 for the most popular online business associate degree in New Jersey.
The administrative team and faculty are passionate educators with advanced degrees, many who also have corporate and consulting experience, and want students to succeed.
“Perhaps you simply want to add an exciting challenge to your life by studying something new,” adds Ford. “We can help you find it.”
Those in the business program at CCM may pursue a certificate of achievement in less than one year in finance, foundations in business, small business management or social media marketing and communications. The business career program is beneficial for students wanting to explore all areas of business and provides the opportunity to upgrade skillsets through an internship. Students may also elect to study towards an associate degree in business administration, which can be completed in two years, and is easily transferrable to four-year institutions to continue towards a bachelor’s degree.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in business and financial operations occupations will grow 8 percent by 2030 adding about 750,800 new jobs. The most recent median annual wage for business and financial occupations is $76,570.
