Student Organizations Arrange Fundraiser to Raise Awareness
Dust off your sneakers and join the Lupus Walk being held at County College of Morris (CCM) and support the efforts to identify the causes of this autoimmune disease, discover better treatments and find a cure.
The Lupus Walk takes place on Sunday, April 10, in Parking Lot 7, on CCM’s campus, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. There is no required registration fee but donations are encouraged. The walk, cosponsored by the Student Government Association and Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) Business Honors Society at CCM, wraps up at 11 a.m. Also serving as a co-sponsor is GSK, a pharmaceutical leader that has taken a lead on lupus trials and treatments. All proceeds from the walk go to support the work of the Lupus Foundation of America New Jersey Chapter.
“ABG, along with the Student Government Association, is proud to be hosting a meaningful walk-for-lupus fundraiser to help support the research efforts to help those fighting everyday against this disease,” says Yonatan Brick, vice president of ABG. “Given how many lupus cases are misdiagnosed, the need for additional tools and treatments is so important for those individuals and their families. Help CCM fight lupus on April 10 and take a giant step towards ending this disease once and for all.”
