Tuition Refund Appeal Process

A request for an exception to the Tuition Refund policy must be made to the Dean of Students. To apply for a tuition appeal, you first need to be withdrawn from your class(es).  Withdrawing does not mean your appeal will be approved.

NOTE: Refund Requests must be received within the fiscal year that the class occurred for which a refund is requested. The College’s fiscal year is from July 1 through June 30.

Tuition refunds are only granted for two reasons:

1. Extenuating circumstances occurred that caused you to be unable to attend your courses, or

2. If you believe a college error was made.

To be eligible for a refund you must provide documentation for one of these reasons.  Choose the appropriate option below:

An extenuating circumstance occured that caused to you be unable to complete your course(s).

Your submission should be fully completed. Additional documentation will not be accepted after you submit.

The following information is needed to complete a tuition refund appeal:

  • A summary with an explanation of the extenuating circumstance that prevented you from completing your course(s)
  • Documentation that you tried to solve the situation. This may include emails or a statement from your professor(s) indicating that you attempted to find a solution.
  • Documentation that explains that you were incapable of completing your course(s) due to the extenuating circumstances. *Typically this involves a serious health-related circumstance documented by a medical provider.*












    Course(s) Involved:

    Upload documentation that you tried to solve the problem. (Accepted file types: pdf, docx, gif, jpg and png).

    Upload documentation explaining what prevented you from completing your course(s). (Accepted file types: pdf, docx, gif, jpg and png).

    OR

    If you believe a college error was made.

    Your submission should be fully completed. Additional documentation will not be accepted after you submit.

    The following information is needed to complete a tuition refund appeal:

    • In the case you believe a college error was made, you must identify any offices and employees of the college who were responsible for the error with evidence of your communication with them.
