  • Legal Services of Northwest Jersey –  the Employment Rights Law Project offers community outreach, legal consultation and legal representation services regarding employment law in Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties.  http://www.lsnj.org/lsnwj/  or email lsnwj-morris@lsnj.org for Morris County.

  • Volunteer Lawyers for Justice – are attorneys who provide representation to indigent parents and caretakers of children throughout NJ. Callers must meet income eligibility requirements to obtain assistance. www.vljnj.org
  • The Children’s Legal Resource Center offers information, assistance, training, and legal publications regarding the rights of children. The Center provides general information regarding existing laws, and assists individuals in understanding and accessing legal processes affecting children and their care. www.kidlaw.org

  • Displaced Homemaker Centers throughout New Jersey:  www.dhnj.org
  • Women’s Referral Central – is a hotline dedicated to the needs of women throughout New Jersey. Callers can receive information about: domestic violence or sexual assault, stress, loneliness and depression, civil rights, education, financial assistance, housing and legal services, family planning, parenting and pregnancy. Call 1-800-322-8092 to speak to a trained volunteer who will help you find the organization, support group or facility that best meets your needs.

  • 2-1-1 First Call for Help – offers confidential telephone support to people in crisis, and personalized information and referrals to those in need of assistance. 2-1-1 operates statewide, connecting people with the resources they need to solve common life problems.   • Mental Health – for free, confidential mental health information & referral call 1-866-202-HELP (4357) or visit www.njmentalhealthcares.org offers help when you need it, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Provides TTY and multiple language capability
  • Consumer Credit Counseling Service of New Jersey – is a non-profit organization which offers budget and credit advice, debt repayment plans, reverse mortgage counseling, housing counseling, pre-filing bankruptcy counseling, and pre-discharge debtor education.   • Al-Anon/Alateen Family Group Meetings – helps relatives and friends affected by someone’s problem drinking. There are no dues or fees, meetings are confidential and each member’s personal anonymity is protected. At least six meetings are suggested.
