Attend a Free Showcase with Learning Opportunities about In-Demand Healthcare Careers
CCM is excited to announce the “Careers in the Health Professions” showcase, a compelling event for all students, job seekers and the general public. All are invited to attend, free of charge, on Thursday, November 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Student Community Center, Davidson Rooms, on CCM’s campus at 214 Center Grove Road in Randolph. Parking is available in Lot 6.
Healthcare careers are not only in high demand, but they also play a crucial role in the well-being of our communities. Through this learning event, CCM aspires to educate current and future healthcare professionals about the incredible opportunities that come with a college education in this field.
Overall employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow much faster than average by 2032 for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This national statistic amounts to about 1.8 million openings over the next several years.
BLS also reports the median annual wage for healthcare practitioners and technical occupations, including registered nurses, physicians, surgeons and dental hygienists, was $77,760 in May 2022. That’s $30,000 higher than the median annual wage for all occupations, providing a significant ROI on the cost of a college education.
“Careers in the Health Professions” will provide an overview of the current areas of study and the opportunity to meet with representatives from CCM’s partner colleges where graduates can transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree. More than 20 employers also will be on hand recruiting for multiple positions including those specific to CCM’s healthcare programs. Discover the range of in-demand healthcare careers including Exercise Science and Physical Education, Public Health, Nursing, Paramedic Science, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy. Learn about the educational requirements, job prospects and earning potential in these fields. Connect with like-minded individuals, healthcare professionals and college faculty to start building your professional network in the healthcare industry.
Beginning at 2 p.m., professionals will talk about their career paths and their work for the benefit of prospective students. A panel of esteemed healthcare professionals, educators and industry experts will also discuss the pivotal role of a college education in preparing individuals for diverse and rewarding careers within the healthcare sector.
“This event allows our students to learn first-hand through speakers, employers and four-year schools about the many opportunities in healthcare professions,” says Maria Isaza, Dean of the School of Health Professions and Natural Sciences at CCM.
Staff will be available to provide information about scholarships, financial aid and support services available to students pursuing healthcare careers.

Recently, the college formally announced the opening of the Paragano Family Foundation Healthcare Simulation Center, a new, 13,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility that is configured like a hospital emergency room with lifelike patient simulators. This center brings together all of the in-demand healthcare areas of study offered at CCM and provides real-world, hands-on training for the students.
An anticipated groundbreaking in Fall 2024 will provide a new, 70,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Center for Health Professions and enable the college to expand its healthcare programs of study to include dental hygiene, dental assisting, surgical technology, diagnostic medical sonography and medical assisting.
