Lisa Volante, MA, LPC

Lisa Volante is a Licensed Professional Counselor in NJ. She received her B.A. degree in Sociology with a double major in Psychology and her M.A. in Counseling from Kean University. During her graduate studies, Lisa authored a thesis and subsequent treatment protocol for survivors of sexual assault and complex PTSD. Prior to working at CCM, Lisa worked at Kean University in the Office of Retention & Intervention assisting undecided, probation, and reinstated students to achieve personal, educational and career goals. Lisa has taught psychology at CCM for 5 years, and currently works as a therapist in private practice assisting individuals, couples and families of all ages and backgrounds. Lisa’s professional interests include anxiety, social anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, domestic violence, sexual assault, relationships issues, LGBTQ+ and career development. Lisa strives to tailor support to each individual by using various therapeutic modalities including, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, art therapy, drama therapy and trauma focused therapy.
