My name is Professor Teresa Birrer, and I am the CCM coordinator for the Bridge to Baccalaureate Grant Program. This grant provides money for under-represented minority students in STEM majors (non-medical) to increase their success in transferring and completing their bachelor’s degree at a 4-year school.
We have funds for students to:
-Act as peer group leaders for other CCM students
-Be mentees of students from 4-year schools
-Undertake summer research at one of the 4-year partner schools in NJ
-Participate in other academic skill building activities
The requirement for those students who participate in the B2B program is attendance at most of the events we plan throughout the year. These include a Research Symposium in October and a Transfer Day in March as well as workshops to increase your success, peer-led study groups and outside speakers.
If you would like to increase your chances of successfully completing your AS and BS degrees as well as earn some extra money, complete the B2B online application today!
Please email me if you have any questions about the program, and feel free to share this information with other students you think would benefit from the grant. If you have already completed an application, we are thrilled to have you on board and hope that you will encourage others in Math, Engineering, or CompSci to join as well. I hope to hear from you soon!
