About Our Department
About Our Department
You may be here to learn about a single course to prepare you for your profession, or you may wish to study a series of courses leading to a major in mathematics, engineering or science. Perhaps you simply wish to brush up on your math skills. Whatever you need, we can help you find it.
Our department has 12 full-time and over 30 adjunct faculty members ready to help you succeed. We offer classes during the day, evenings, on Saturdays, in hybrid format and online.
Professor Alexis Thurman
Chairperson
For students interested in a degree in Mathematics, there are two options. The Mathematics option is a curriculum which allows broad flexibility in selection of courses in preparation for transfer to baccalaureate or professional programs in mathematics. The Mathematics Education option is designed for transfer to a four-year program leading to certification for teaching.
