What You Will Learn
The A.S. degree in Exercise Science at County College of Morris (CCM) is based on the American College of Sports Medicineâ€™s recommended education competencies and prepares the students for a career in health and fitnessrelated fields. Graduates with an Exercise Science degree can perform fitness and health assessments and prescribe nutrition and training regimens. Upon completion of the degree in Exercise Science, students are prepared to sit for a national certification in personal training, yoga, Pilates, group fitness, health and fitness instruction, and wellness coaching. Transfer to four year schools provide additional opportunities in careers such as Exercise Physiology. Exercise physiologists develop fitness and exercise programs that help patients recover from chronic diseases and improve cardiovascular function, body composition and flexibility.
