What You Will Learn
Choosing to study Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities/Social Sciences gives you a strong foundation for careers in law, education, government, publishing, writing, and research. Curriculum
This 60-credit associate degree program includes 15-credits in restricted electives only for students pursuing the liberal arts. The program is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Economics and Economic Issues
This course combines economic principles with applications to contemporary problems. Emphasis is placed on using economic concepts to analyze and understand social, political, philosophical and diversity issues. This course is a social science elective.
English Composition I
The first half of the 6-credit English Communications requirement emphasizes the fundamentals of written communications including expository prose, reading comprehension and interpretation, and rhetorical modes.
Introduction to Linguistics
An overview of the study of language examining the fundamental concepts of language, structure, development, and variation. Major topics include morphology, syntax, phonology, phonetics, semantics, language change, typology, language contact, language acquisition, and language and computers.
