The Department of Information Technologies certificates of achievement at CCM are designed for current or aspiring professionals who are inspired to solve important global problems by using the power of technology. The 15-credit Certificate of Achievement in Information Security is ideal for those who want to learn how to secure a network, protect private data and set policies for managing the security of a business and the nation. The five course curriculum includes courses in Foundations of Information Security, Network Security and Information Security Management providing a balance of theory and hands-on experience.
Curriculum
CCM was the first community college in New Jersey to be designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE2Y).

This Certificate of Achievement Program at CCM is designed for full-time or part-time students who are working in or desire to work in the field of Information Security. The certificate may be earned while pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Information Technology at CCM. Classes overlap making the completion of the certificate possible before or at the same time as completion of the degree program.
