Certificate of Achievement
The Department of Information Technologies certificates of achievement are designed for current or aspiring professionals seeking a career or a skillset upgrade.Â Each certificate of achievement includes a balance of theory and hands-on experience. The certificates is designed for full-time and part-time students who are working or plan to work in one of these areas.
These certificatesÂ can be earned simultaneously with the Information Technology degree program. Most classes in a certificate overlap with the corresponding degree to make the completion of the certification available before or at the same time as the completion of an associate degree program.

Media Technology Curriculum
The Certificate of Media Technology is designed to provide training in the area of digital technology as it affects the field of media. Students gain an understanding of electronic visual communications, an introduction to computer-based media platforms and basic skills in a variety of media production specialties. The program provides a grounding in media technol-ogy for individuals who already hold a post-secondary degree and who are interested in a career change or enhancement of current skills. A professional certificate for those individuals requiring such certification for job placement or advancement. Articulation with the New Media Technology degree program for those students wishing to continue toward an associate degree.
Information Security Curriculum
CCM was the first community college in New Jersey to be designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE2Y).
For more than two decades, CCM has been recognized locally and nationally as a leader in information security.Â CCM has been a certifying institution for the NSAâ€™s NSTISSI-4011 National Training Standard for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals.
Our faculty is nationallyÂ recognized as expert educators and leaders in setting the direction of our nationâ€™s information security curriculum. The mission is to educate our future cybersecurity professionals, increase awareness for students in other disciplines and prepare our greater community to be better cyber citizens.
This program is mapped to the NSA/DHS CAE2Y Knowledge Unit Standards.
