WHAT IS THE COLLEGE STUDENT SUCCESS COURSE?
College Student Success (CSS 011 – N2 Credits) is designed to assist first year students in their adjustment and success with the college experience. In addition to the topics above, students will learn about academic expectations and developing skills to meet them, campus resources, library use, making career choices, taking online courses, and working with an academic advisor. This course will also introduce the development of leadership skills. This class will clarify the specific dynamics of the interpersonal relationships within the campus community, emphasizing the expectations placed upon students by professors, and aiding students as they create an understanding of the role they play in their academic journey.
WHO’S REQUIRED TO TAKE IT?
This is a mandatory course during the first year of college for all students in the following majors and who are required to take Writing Skills (ENG 025).
