What You Will Learn

The Teacher Education curriculum at CCM provides first-hand experience and active participation in diverse and inclusive classroom settings through 25 hours of classroom observation. Although much of the courses are in the student’s area of specialization, specific teacher education courses shape their foundation to succeed as a professional educator.

Career Opportunities

Students planning to pursue a teaching degree at a four-year institution enroll in one of the following specializations at CCM that provide the foundation teacher education courses, as well as courses in one’s intended major: biology, chemistry, English, history, mathematics, physical education, psychology, sociology, Spanish, or visual arts.
