Why Study at CCM
Students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Technical Studies may earn credit for previous experience and education. This enables students to avoid taking unnecessary courses, and ultimately helps students save time as well as money in earning a college degree. It also helps one to graduate faster and begin on a faster track to accomplishing one’s goals.
Students must see a faculty advisor to plan your sequence of courses. Technology-based courses taken by a student at least seven years prior to the time the student applies for graduation from CCM may not be applied to any degree or certificate within the Department of Information Technologies.
CCM Faculty have industry experience to provide students with a real-world understanding of the technology field. They work in a supportive environment demonstrating empathy for and provide support to non-traditional students along with office hours. Flexible terms and class schedules are also provided to fit a student’s busy lifestyle.
Credit, non-credit internship experiences and job search support are facilitated through our Office of Career and Transfer Services, where you can also learn how to build a resume, and receive the tools to help you with interviewing skills to succeed! Learn more about Career Services here.
